The Flow Is Already Here. Are You Using It?

Jupiter trine Saturn in fire signs, symbolizing flow between vision, possibility, structure, and action.

Jupiter trine Saturn

August 30, 2026

Trines don't push us the way squares do. Friction gets our attention. Flow can be easier to miss. Sometimes the door opens and we walk straight past it.

A flow is opening, potentially for us all.

Jupiter and Saturn are moving into a trine this week, and over the coming months there may be more ease, momentum, and wider openings around things that have already been developing in our lives.

The invitation isn't to make something happen. It's to notice where something is already moving—and make yourself more available to it.

Think Back

To find it, we have to look backward.

Think back to the end of 2020—not only the pandemic, but your own life. Where were you? What was changing? What began, or became necessary, in the months around December 2020?

Sometimes beginnings look like endings: disruptions, decisions we didn't expect to make, circumstances that made the old way of doing things impossible.

Now jump to the middle of 2023. By June, had something become clearer? Had an opportunity appeared? A possibility flirting with you just at the edge of your comfort zone?

Then think about August 2024 through summer 2025. Where did you hit a point of contact you couldn't avoid? What frustrated you? Where did you meet a limitation, a boundary, or the need to adjust course?

And now—what's different?

Where is there more flow? More harmony? Something closer to smooth sailing? Where are wider openings—or opportunities for co-creation—appearing that weren't there before?

Maybe you can trace one thread through all four periods. Maybe you can't. Don't force it. Start with what you remember and see whether a thread reveals itself.

The Cycle Behind It

These periods are connected.

Every time Jupiter and Saturn meet, they begin a new cycle together. Their last conjunction was December 21, 2020. Jupiter, moving faster, has been pulling ahead ever since, reconnecting with Saturn at different stages of the cycle: a sextile in June 2023—opening; a square from August 2024 through summer 2025—friction; and now their opening trine—flow.

And this is only the beginning of the trine. Jupiter and Saturn meet this way again next April and July. The current we're entering now keeps building into next summer.

“If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.” — Henry David Thoreau, Walden

Vision and Form

Jupiter and Saturn have always reminded me of Thoreau's castles in the air.

Jupiter sees what might be possible. It imagines, reaches, expands. Saturn asks what will hold it. What form will it take? What structure does it need? Vision and form.

And this trine is in fire—Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Aries. Creativity. Boldness. Action.

If we compare this synodic cycle to the Moon, we've reached the waxing gibbous part of the story. There is more light than dark now. Momentum has gathered. We can see more of what this cycle is becoming.

But trines don't push us the way squares do. Friction gets our attention. Flow can be easier to miss. Sometimes the door opens and we walk straight past it.

Someone tells you you're good at something and you smile but don't really register it. Someone suggests you're ready for leadership and you've decided you're “not that kind of person” before they've finished the sentence. An invitation arrives and you dismiss it because it doesn't look like the opportunity you were expecting.

Awareness gives the moment somewhere to land.

The Invitation

So this week, sit down for a little while and look back over those periods.

Then ask: Where can you cooperate with what's already trying to move? What's moving now—and what might you watch through next summer?

You don't need to manufacture the current. You may not even need to do anything differently. But notice it. Let yourself register what is happening before you dismiss it.

Notice where you're still doubting something that seems to have acquired a life of its own. And perhaps make yourself a little more available to where it wants to take you.

Vision to Form

It's not lost on me that this Jupiter–Saturn trine—vision and form, momentum finding structure—is arriving in the first year I've been leading Vision to Form.

Because that's just how synchronicity works. And, because that's just how Vision to Form works also.

We start with something that already has life in it—an idea, a direction, a possibility you can't quite leave alone. We don't force it prematurely into a plan, and we don't leave it floating indefinitely as a castle in the air.

We work with it.

We follow where the energy is. We test possibilities. We let other people reflect back what they see and discover things we couldn't see alone. And slowly, we discover the form that can actually hold what wants to emerge.

This fall, I want to let the astrology inform the process a little more explicitly.

I'll be opening a new small-group cohort in late September or early October. If you've been reading this and recognizing something of your own life—something gathering momentum that you'd like to meet rather than miss—hit reply and tell me you're interested.

You don't need to know yet what form it should take.

That's what we'll discover together.

Your Riches Within

What if the bravest thing you could do was stop judging yourself—and simply trust who you already are? Each week, I take something real happening in the sky and turn it into one honest question. I don't hand you the answer — I'm usually still sitting with it myself.
